Mt. Athabasca (3491m)
| The "horn" shaped ridge in right center is called "Silvertip". From this angle, the top appears to be the summit, but it's not. The summit is actually the high point on the ridge to the left. Our route would take us to the base of Silvertip and then traverse across and up to the col on the right. From there, scramble up the rocky SW slope to the top. From there, a relatively easy 20 minute snow walk to the summit. |
