AA Col

The surface here is hard snow with ice. The ridge to the left is Silvertip. We took a short break here where it actually turned out to be the coldest part of the climb. It was probably between 8:30 and 9am and the sun was behind clouds with a chilly breeze. We angled left to reach the start of a scree trail on the SW side. We were short roped on the scree trail but it was really only a moderate scramble in spots. I had never scrambled with a roped team before so it was a bit awkward in a few spots. My apologies to Josee for a couple of uncontrolled axe movements.
