Thamel is one of the districts of Kathmandu, Nepal. Thamel is the main tourist area of Kathmandu and it's where the Kathmandu Guest House is located. All the streets in Thamel are lined with shops, restaurants and hotels. If you walk along the narrow streets, you will often be approached to come into a shop or to buy something from them. Thamel is a fifteen minute drive from Tribhuvan International Airport.
